The most stable kayak in Hobie's Mirage kayak series, the Outback was designed for fishing where stability and maneuverability are key. Pedal it, paddle it or sail it the Hobie Outback offers all the features of the Hobie Mirage kayak range. It's the SUV of the Hobie kayak family.The Outback offers the best stability, the same capability's but is lighter than most in the Mirage range. Fit for fishing and exploring with the ability to take plenty of kit for an expedition or overnight camp. The Hobie Outback's fingertip steering offers the user to hands free travelling, ideal for fishing or bird watching.
The Hobie Outback comes with the Hobie Drive System, seat, paddle, rudder system, drinks bottle, dry bag and more.

Hobie Mirage Drive System Mirage Drive
The Hobie Mirage Drive is simple and easy to use. Inserted into the well with the "click & go" system holding the drive securely in place. The self centering padded pedals allow you to effortlessly push each pedal forward. The drives flipper flex and take the shape of a propeller blade. The naturally larger muscle in your legs produce more powerfully propulsion than you arms using a paddle. The drives creates no splashing, silent peddling and leaves your hand free to fish or take photos
Hobie 2010 seat High Back Padded Seat
Fully Adjustable, thick padded self inflation lumbar support for added comfort. Easy to fit and remove for transport
Hobie sail kit Sail Mount
All the kayaks in the Hobie range can take a sail to power your kayak. The optional Mirage Sail Kit attaches to the sail mount on the kayak. The sail maintains speed with or without peddling
Hobie kayak sruder system Twist & Stow Rudder
While seated, pull the "down" t handle to deploy the rudder. Place your hand on the rudder control handle for fingertip steering. Pulling the "up" handle lifts the rudder out of the water and stores the blade flat on the deck
Hobie Stowage Twist & seal hatch
Allows you to access additional storage below deck. Designed with a cork screw mechanism for closure, a simple twist of the handle opens or closes the hatch. The lids also hinge open so you never loose them.
Two piece paddle
Hobie's two piece paddle can be used for additional maneuverability or upper body workout. When not in use it can be parked in the hull paddle holder.
Mesh stowage pockets
Keep the items you need close and handy like sun cream, snack bar or waterproof camera
Mid Boat Carry Handle
Placed in the middle makes it
easy to move, lift and store your kayak.
Front Hatch
Allows lots of storage below deck. The hatch is attached to a safely strap with a detachable clip
Cup holders
Cup holders are conveniently placed within easy reach. Large Hobie drinks bottle comes with the Hobie kayaks.
Fishing Rod Holders
Molded in the hull, these rod holders are ideally placed for rods or even carrying fishing net or safety flag.
Cargo Area
Large storage area for all the gear you want to take out with you. Bungee tie downs keep it all secure
