Ocean Kayak have given the Prowler Ultra 4.7all the practical features from the Prowler range and then added some brilliant new and features teamed with the tri-formed hull built for speed and stabilty with higher volume up front with a flared bow for a drier ride and well laid out accessible deck area with plenty of storage up back for a live bait well (4.7 only) and ice box make this an very effective kayak for fishing.
The Prowler Ultra 4.3 and Ultra 4.7 has two rear flush mounted rod holders and also two front gunwhale mounted rod holders, and inserts ready for either a Scotty rod holder. The central reversible hatch cover has many different mounting options for all your scotty attachment and fish finder. Also included is a large hatch up front for dry stowage, sealed with a neoprene gasket and Ocean Kayaks Cross Lock hatch system for quick access combined with a tight fit. The Ultra has a flat area on the front deck which is ideal for mounting VHF or GPS antenna. As with all Ocean Kayaks fishing model there is the transducer scupper mount. Solid handles make car topping much less hassle.
The Ocean Kayak Prowler 4.3 is set to release to the UK market at the end of summer 2011 and provides a great solution to those who find the Ultra 4.7
a little on the large side. Also included is an upgraded front hatch which doesnt require the neoprene cover, 5" hatch in the front of the rear well and an upraded seat with thick foam base.
