Fork mounted roof rack bike carrier
The Thule FastRide 564 is a fork-mounted bike carrier for roof racks, it is designed specifically for bikes with quick release wheels. They are easy to mount to your Thule roof bars and both quick and easy to secure a bike too as well. The bike is secured using the adjustable, protective wheel strap for the rear wheel along with a front fork mount that has both audible and visual confirmation so you can be confident that your bike has been secured effectively.
The Thule FastRide 564 has a max load capacity of 18 kg and is compatible with a wide range of quick-release bikes. The maximum wheelbase is 1250 mm with tyre width up to 3" and wheel diameters up to 29".
Thule's AcuTight Torque Limiter Knob System, which clicks when the optimal torque limit is reached provides safe and secure mounting. The Thule FastRide 564 mounts to all Thule roof rack systems, round bars and most factory vehicle manufacturer roof bar systems - additional adapters may be required.
Several Fastride carriers can be fitted to a roof rack, refer to the dimensions below and the width of your roof bars to work out how many. You should account for pedal crank space too. Most roof racks can take 3-4 FastRides, you also need to keep an eye on the accumulated total weight of the bikes and be sure it is within the max for your rack and car roof load.
