Standard 3mm neoprene gloves offer good insulation, with just enough dexterity to hold and control a paddle well. 1-2mm neoprene gloves offer a good combination of providing some warmth with better dexterity for paddle control. Some paddlers prefer to have as much feel of the paddle as possible, so thin 0.5mm neoprene gloves are a good option to provide some warmth but plenty of paddle feel. Finger-less paddling gloves are good for those who need use of their fingers and are popular with kayak anglers.
