The ProRide 598 is Thule's best-selling roof mounted cycle carrier. The design allows for simple and efficient loading of bikes weighing up to 20kg (44lbs), both the carrier and your bike can be loaded on to your vehicle in a matter of seconds.
The unique frame holder and wheel trays automatically adjust to the best position for your bike for fast and secure loading every time. The torque limiter dial controls the force going into the bike frame spreading the force through large, soft claw pads which adapt to your bike’s frame tubes. This minimises the risk of frame damage whilst maintaining a secure mount. If using with carbon-framed bikes, use the add-on Thule Carbon Frame Protector accessory to protect your bike.
The ProRide 598 has an extended lower jaw that prevents your bike from falling out of the clamp when loading. The wheels of your bike are held firmly in place with the new and improved diagonal wheel straps which reduce flex. The wheel trays hold tyres up to 3in width. Carry fat bikes with tyres up to 5in wide the optional Thule Proride Fatbike Adapter.
The tool free interface allows you to switch the carrier from one side of your vehicle to another. You can fit up to 4 carriers on some roof racks when mounted in opposite directions from one another. Included T-Track adapters (20x20mm) fit the ProRide to Thule WingBars, SlideBars and ProBars. If you have a roof rack with standard square bars then you will need to purchase the Thule ProRide SquareBar Adapter 8895.
