Towbar Bike Carrier for 3 or 4 Bikes
For families needing to transport larger and heavier bikes, such as e-bikes, mountain bikes and fat bikes, the Velospace XT 3 is the bike carrier for you. With a high load capacity and spacious design you can comfortably carry 1, 2 or 3 larger bikes but it can equally be used to carry smaller and lighterweight road bikes too, including smaller childrens bikes. You can also transport a 4th bike with an additional adaptor. This is a truly versatile bike rack suitable for carrying a wide range of bike types for family adventures, whether its a local trail run, or a European road trip!
Loading and securing your bikes onto the carrier is made very easy. Simply place the tyres into the wheel trays and then place the frame clamps over the mainframe and tighten into place with the AcuTight lockable knobs. These are torque-limited so click when optimal torque is reached to ensure your bikes are securely held. Once secure, the wheels can be strapped down to the wheel trays using the adjustable straps with pump buckles.
Once fitted, the VeloSpace XT 3 can be tilted away from the vehicle for ease of access to the boot. When not in use, the VeloSpace folds down for easier storage. Featuring a number plate holder and lighting board that uses 13-pin electrics. If your vehicle has 7-pin electrics you will need to purchase the Thule 7-13 Pin Tow Bar Electrics Adapter 9906 (sold seperately). Want to make life easier loading your bike onto the VeloSpace XT 3? Add-on the Thule Loading Ramp 9172 (sold seperately) and simply wheel the bike onto the carrier! The XT 3 can be used with vechiles that have a rear mounted spare wheel with the additional Spare Wheel Adapter.
The rack is lockable to the towbar ball, and the frame clamps feature lockable tightening knobs to help reduce the chance of theft of the carrier or your bikes.
