The Kola Angler PFD from Palm Equipment has been designed to be the ultimate kayak fishing buoyancy aid. Super comfortable design for long days on the water with a stack of features that are really useful for kayak fishing. Featuring a high-back design where the buoyancy on the back of the PFD is concentrated at the top, with a soft mesh lower section. This allows the PFD to be worn comfortably when sat in a fishing kayak, which typically have high back rests. The high-back design ensures there is no interferance between the PFD and the seat in your fishing kayak.

The front of the PFD features two large clam-shell pockets which hinge open for easy access to the pocket. These are a great size for storing a small tackle box, a VHF Radio, a PLB, a mobile phone and more. There are several compartments which are great for holding rig and hook packets, bait elastic and other small tackle essentials. There is also a tool holder on the front of the PFD to keep your scissors or pliers close to hand. There are several clips points for accessory attachment on the front of the PFD which are great for clipping on a VHF and a rope cutter / safety knife, making sure they are close to hand when needed.

The PFD is constructed from a durable ripstop nylon outer with PVC-free Gaia and EPE foam for comfort and long-lasting buoyancy. Several adjustment straps offer a secure fit for all sizes. The 3D adjustable waist strap ensures the PFD sits securely in use and resists riding up. All zips are YKK non-corrosion plastic locking zips suitable for saltwater and freshwater use. Easy front-zip entry and padded shoulder straps ensure comfort when wearing for long periods. The shoulder straps feature a clip point for a Guardian Nav Light. Reflective strips also feature and offer that extra bit of visibility to the PFD in low light conditions.

Whilst designed to be great for kayak fishing, the Kola Angler also makes a great buoyancy aid for sit on top paddlers and touring/sea kayakers who want plenty of storage on their buoyancy aid. This is our top choice for a buoyancy aid for kayak fishing!
