Eckla Loading Aid - New Generation

Extending bar to make loading kayaks easier

The New Generation Eckla Load Assist Bar is an easy to use secure system designed to enable one person loading of kayaks or canoes onto most vehicles. This is ideal for a heavy or awkward shaped canoe/kayak and will take the strain out of loading standard watercraft too. The loading aid is a slide out alloy bar that extends out from one of your roof rack bars and secures via a simple button lock. You then lift either the bow or stern of the canoe to roof bar height and rest it on the extended loading aid. Then you simply lift the other end of your watercraft up and across onto the roof bars.

The side stop on the loading arm is designed to prevent the boat from slipping off the loading aid during loading. Once done just slide the Loading Aid Bar back into its sleeve until the push-pin clip is properly located to secure it. Then ensure you have securely strapped your canoe or kayak and you're ready to go. Offloading is a reverse of the above procedure. Slide the load bar out and make sure it is secure then slide that end of your canoe or kayak over onto it before lifting the other end across and down to ground level. Finally lift the end that is still on the load bar off, stow the bar back in the travel position and you are all done!

Fitting or removing the Eckla Loading Aid is easy with the option of use on either a squarebar or bar with a T-Track slot. This Loading Aid is designed for use with a 32x22mm T-Track Slot which allows the arm to be used on Thule ProBars, Wingbars and Aerobars. Also suitable for a wide range of bars from other manufacturers.

The Loading Arm slides out to around 65cm and has a load capacity of approximately 30 kg.
