The skeg will enhance straight line tracking in windy or choppy conditions and is useful in strong cross currents too.

The hull is designed to provide good primary stability while the bevelled and flared side-walls create confidence inspiring secondary stability. The rounded stern deck shape, taken from the Mamba design, sheds water easily making it forgiving in moving water. The Katana also offers a more spacious cockpit than traditional white water designs for a less confining feeling.

The Katana is an ideal choice for anyone wanting a kayak that will work well for some general gentle water touring on the sea, rivers or lakes along with more exciting surfing, rock hopping around the coast and white water play too.
