Anchoring Chain

Many kayak anglers will add a length of chain to their anchor set up. A short length of chain provides extra weight to the set up and provides additional holding power, helping the anchor to grab the bottom. The chain also helps to dampen any action of swell and chop.

This anchor chain is sold in pre-cut 1 meter lengths - the perfect size for adding to an anchor. The 6mm short-link design provides plenty of weight for its length and is ideal for anchor set ups. Simply attach the chain to the eyelet at the base of your anchor using an Anchor Shackle, and use a cable tie (or similar) to create a weak link attachment for the chain at the top of the anchor.
