Adjustable Rod Mount System

The Rod Holder R is the little brother to the RodHolder II and is compatible with spinning (fixed spool), bait caster (multiplier) or fly reels. The rod holder is fully adjustable horizontally by adjusting the rod holder in the Starport HD base, and can be adjusted vertically to put your rod at the desired angle.

The stretchable strap at the front of the holder will wrap around the top for baitcaster reels and round the bottom for spinning reels to help secure the rod in place in the holder.

The Rod Holder R is a light duty rod holder best used with light spinning rods, lure rods and fly rods. It is not designed for heavy trolling. For heavy-duty applications, take a look at the Railblaza Rod Holder II. The Rod Holder R will fit into any Railblaza mounting Starport but comes ready supplied with a Starport HD mount. The holder itself is constructed from rugged fibre glass reinforced plastic.

This rod holder can be mounted on most kayak slide tracks using the Starport HD Tracmount Kit or use a TracLoader StarPort.

For installation, we recommend using 4 x M5 Stainless Bolts with Washers & Nuts for use on kayaks. Stainless self-tapping screws can also be used on thicker mounting surfaces such as fibreglass boat hulls and wooden surfaces. For mounting to pre-installed brass inserts use either short M5 Bolts or short M6 bolts.
