Old Town Heron 9 XT
At 9ft 6in / 2.9 m the Heron 9XT is a nimble kayak that is easy to handle on or off the water, with some great features for comfortable paddling on calm waters. Featuring a Comfort Flex seat with plenty of padding and back support along with an easy entry cockpit and adjustable foot pegs. This is a great choice for beginner or recreational paddlers wanting to explore gentle waters. Cruise down the estuary creeks for an evening paddle, or explore the local lake or canal with forgiving stability and comfort.
In the stern there is a sealed bulkhead storage compartment accessed by a Quick Seal hatch, this provides buoyancy and is also a great place to store a trolley or picnic kit for a lunch break on a river bank or beach. The Heron 9XT also comes with two flush mount rod holders on the rear deck within easy reach. You can troll a lure as you paddle or just use these to get your rods to a likely fishing spot. Use the conveniently located paddle park to keep your paddle safe as you fish.
Weighing just 18.1kg / 40lb, the Heron 9XT can be easily carried to and from the water or lifted onto a roof rack for transport. You may find that the Heron 9 can fit in the back of some vans too.
