In September 2025, Hobie was acquired by Bass Pro Shops (White River Marine Group), with production relocating from Mexico to Lebanon, Missouri, USA.

Easy Open Hatch for Kayaks
A hinged lid twist and seal hatch that can be retro-fitted to many fishing kayaks where there is adequate flat space for installation. A simple twist of the handle opens or closes the hatch. A rubber seal ensures the hatch is watertight when closed. 8 inch hatch opening diameter with a footprint diameter of 28.5cm.
These retrofit kits include a backing ring for a strong fit. Requires 6 x Screws (8031131) for installation.
