The Motion 3 roof box range from Thule brings together a stylish roof-hugging design with ease of use and robust durability for a top performing roof storage solution for your vehicle. The Motion 3 Large provides 440L of load capacity, a 75kg weight capacity with the ability to carry items up to 184cm inside the box. This makes this roof box a great option for family holidays and outdoor enthusiasts. Load up with suitcases, beach gear or sporting equipment such as skis (up to 180cm in length), snowboards and fishing rods.
The Motion 3 is made to be easy to use with convenient dual-side and a large handle for opening and closing the box. An internal brace system adds rigidity to the lid for smoother and easier opening and closing. The SlideLock mechanism ensures secure closing and locking of the box, with a visual indicator to show when the lid is fully seated and the box can be locked. Fitting the box to your roof bars is made really easy with the PowerClick mounting clamps. These feature a turn-dial that is torque-limited and will click once the correct mounting pressure is reached. Simply place the jaws of the clamp over your roof bars and turn the dial until the click... easy! The Powerclick clamps work with all popular roof bars including WingBar Evo, WingBar Edge, SquareBar and many other branded roof bars. You can also T-Track mount the box to compatible bar systems using an additional T-Track Adapter. The mounting point feature adjustable runners allowing the Motion 3 to fit to a wide range of roof bar spacings from 550mm up to 930mm.
The Motion 3 Large is available in two colour options: Black Glossy and Titan Glossy. These classy colours provide a premium look that will compliment any modern vehicle and looks very smart on the road! The Motion 3 Large is a great size to suit larger cars, SUVs and vans, and will provide you plenty of extra storage space for your next adventure on the road.

The lid of the Motion 3 stays securely shut thanks to a SlideLock mechanism. The lid automatically locks the in place as you close it, with an indicator to show that it has closed correctly and can be locked. To open, simply slide the lock and lift the lid.

Thule Motion 3 Roof Box Size Guide
Boot Hatch Clearance
When mounted on your vehicle’s roof, a roof box may come into contact with your rear boot hatch. To determine which roof boxes fit your vehicle without contacting your hatch, measure the front clearance. This is the distance from your vehicle's front roof rack crossbar to the point where the roof meets the hatch (see image below).
If your vehicle measures greater than 1304 mm, the Motion 3 L roof box will fit your vehicle without contacting your hatch.
Note: Some roof racks that use flush rail, raised rail or fix point fittings feature adjustable position crossbars. Moving the crossbars forward on the vehicle will increase the number of roof box models that fit without contacting the boot. If you're unsure whether your vehicle's crossbars can be re-positioned, see your vehicle or roof rack manufacturer for assistance.
