River Running Kayak

Taking inspiration from the designs of the tried and tested Burn, 9R and Ripper models, the Scorch has been born to satisfy the demands on the white water paddler wanting a solid river runner that can handle big water, yet can be thrown about for technical creek runs when needed. Featuring a hybrid rocker profile, with progressive bow rocker for easy skipping over features, with a noticeable kick rocker at the stern to not be in the way when firing over a lip, but helps you ride out of the drop with confidence. Sharp rails run the full length of the hull for snapping in and out of eddies, carving up river, and holding your line through pits and boils. This is a kayak for out and out river running, from low grades meandering to big water sessions when you need a kayak to take on more challenging features.

You'll find good hull speed for planing out of drops, and gliding over features, with a cut-off stern for clean surface tension release. The tapered stern profile allow you to get that bow nice and high with a sweeping boof for dealing with those gnarlier drops! The flatter planing hull surfs well too for some play. A prominent edge runs right to the stern for that feeling of control as you power out of a features without losing your momentum.
