A forwards-only drive for Hobie Kayaks, offering a smooth pedalling experience thanks to Glide Technology, where roller bearings are used at all major pivoting components on the drive - the Drums, Sprockets and Idler Pulley. Equipped with Kick Up fins that automatically knock up out of the way should you hit an object whilst pedalling. This minimises the chance of damaging your fins or drive. The pedal cranks are fully adjustable at the push of a button, allowing drive to be used by users of various heights.

The Mirage Drive GT Kick Up is compatible with the entire Hobie Kayak range, with the exception of the Pro Angler 360 series and the Eclipse Boards, which have their own unique drive systems. The Mirage Drive GT drives comes as standard on all newer Passport 10.5, Passport 12.0, Compass Duo and iTrek inflatable kayaks. This drive can also be used on other Hobie models. Add extra performance to this drive with a Kick Up Turbo Fin Kit - available separately and allows the drive to operate at a higher top speed and lower cadence at cruising speeds.
