All-round Crossover Kayak

One of the most common questions we are asked from our customers is "I want a kayak that I can surf as well as paddle around the Cornish creeks, estuaries and coastline on flat days, what is the best kayak available?" The answer is, the Wave Sport Ethos. Unlike other crossover kayaks, the Ethos has a flatter hull which will perform better in the surf compared with more traditional D shape hull profiles.

The Wave Sport Ethos is a stable, forgiving and performance-minded crossover platform that offers a confidence-building introduction to paddling in up to class III whitewater. The hull is manoeuvrable in rapids, yet tracks well on flat water with the help of a drop-down skeg system. Such versatility makes the Ethos a very popular option with club paddlers wishing to progress their paddling skills. The Ethos offers outstanding comfort on long multi-day river treks due to the roomy cockpit, sizeable gear-storage space.

When it comes to whitewater the Ethos has predictable control giving smooth and efficient response to your input and punching through big stoppers and waves with ease. Like all crossover kayaks, the Ethos doesn't offer the full on performance of a pure whitewater kayak, but it does handle itself very well, is very forgiving for beginners and provides plenty of adrenaline and smiles for the more experienced.

Two size models are available - the lower volume Ethos 9 which is great for small to medium-sized paddlers, and the larger volume Ethos 10 which is more suited to the larger paddler.
