Delta Kayaks 14
For day trips and longer touring sessions, the Delta 14 offers a great mix of speed and stability, all in a lightweight hull weighing just 20kg, making it one of the lightest touring kayaks on the market. Perfect for the paddler needing a craft that is easy to handle off the water, but is capable at covering the miles when exploring larger inland waters, sheltered coastlines and estuaries. Featuring a sharp bow with moderate V-hull the Delta 14 tracks well and glides easily, with just enough rocker to cope with choppy wind waves.
Outfitted with a comfortable and adjustable Contour II seating system and together with adjustable footrests and a spacious cockpit, you will find comfort for paddling all day long. You can also add the optional Hip Pad Kit for further connectivity to the hull for improved handling - particulary useful for rolling and fine-control edging techniques.
You have plenty of storage space for an extended day trip or weekend adventure. Outfitted with 3 x storage hatches featuring press-lock hatch covers, colour coded to the kayak for a very sleek look. The front and rear storage areas feature rigid bulkheads, and the day hatch opens to a rigid pod - perfect for storing a camera/phone and snacks for quick easy access on the water. The finish on the Delta Kayaks is superb with a fantastic glossy shine. The deck bungees and fittings are recessed into the hull to further add a touchof class to this kayak.
Whetehr you are on the water for a few hours, or wanting to make a full day of it exploring, the Delta 14 makes a great choice and all in a kayak that is easy to manage off the water too!
Advanced Thermoform Construction
Delta Kayaks are manufactured using a proprietary blend of thermoplastics. An ABS base layer (1) provide excellent rigidity and impact resistance, whilst the Solarkote (2) exterior coating adds further abrasion and UV resistance for a glossy smooth and vibrant finish. Thermofomed ABS kayaks offer a great weight-saving over rotomoulded polyethylene kayaks and with better impact resistance and durability over lightweight and more expensive composite craft. All in all you get a kayak that is lightweight to handle both on and off the water, with great durability.
Contour Seat System
Outfitted with the Contour seating system so that you can enjoy hours of paddling on the water in comfort. Channel-vented foam prvides good drainage and airflow, whilst the shaped seat pan and sturdy backrest provide good back support and an ergonomic fit.
