The Bixpy K-1 Outboard Motor is an ultralight jet propulsion system with 33lb of thrust, designed specifically for small watercraft. Weighing in at just 10lbs including the motor and battery! Easy to fit to a wide range of kayaks, canoes, SUPs, small boats, dinghies and tenders with one of the numerous adaptor kits available. Motorise your craft and cruise the water in style! Taking off from the success of the J-2 motor system, the K-1 brings a sleeker and more rugged aluminium housing design with an extra 'warp speed' mode that takes you to top speed quickly with the double press of the forwards button!

Powered by the latest Bixpy K-1 Motor using technology optimised for powering small watercraft. Many marine motors try to increase power output by using larger batteries and propellers, but Bixpy have reinvented the trolling motor by borrowing technologies from hydro-electric dam turbines, jet engines and airfoil technology used in aerospace applications. Combined with the high performance lithium-ion battery pack, you have an ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight motor system for your personal watercraft!

The motor kit will run for approximately 80 minutes at top speed and up to 10 hours at slower speeds. Explore new waters, have powered assistance to your paddle or pedal drive, troll fishing lures all day long, make the return journey to shore easier, or just have the safety back-up of a motor. The included PP-378 Lithium-Ion Battery (Version 4) is fully waterproof with corrosion resistant components. It is also buoyant so you dont have to worry in the event of a capsize! The compact size of the battery pack allows it to easily be stored in the rear cargo area of many kayaks, but could also be placed into or strapped onto a storage crate if one is being used. The power pack comes complete with a charger but please note that the plug is 2-pin US and will require a US-to-UK adaptor plug for use in the UK (available from hardware stores or travel sections in superstores).

The motor output power is controlled with a sealed, waterproof, buoyant, wireless controller that can be worn on your wrist or attached somewhere on the craft. There are 12 forward speeds and 3 reverse speeds with on/off controls. The battery pack also offers a 5V and 12V outlet for charging or running other electronics on board. A magnetic kill-switch allows for instant power-off of the motor incase of capsize during use. It is recommended to keep the kill-switch attached to your person at all times!
