The Cruise Angler has become a firm favourite with those wanting a small and lightweight kayak that is kitted out for fishing. The Enigma Cruise Angler is best suited to calm water kayak fishing in sheltered coastal waters, lakes and inland waterways. This kayak is a popular choice as a first kayak for those wanting to get a taste for the world of kayak fishing without investing in a more expensive craft. The wide and stable hull design for a kayak of it's length and will suit small to medium sized paddlers up to approx. 13 stone / 80kg. Larger paddlers should look at the Enigma Fishing Pro 10 or Enigma Fishing Pro 12 as more suitable and comfortable options. The hull shape is remarkably similar to the tried and tested Malibu Kayaks Mini X which we imported from California and sold for many years. It is not the fastest kayak out there but is more than adequate for calm weather fishing where you only need to paddle shorter distances - perhaps an evening trolling along the rocks for bass, or a day at the lake or canal.

The Enigma Cruise Angler is very well equipped for kayak fishing with a total of 4 flush mount rod holders, a centrally mounted adjustable trolling rod holder giving multiple rod holding options for both bait fishing and for lure fishing. There are two storage hatches with easy-open cam locks. The front hatch features an inner bag for holding small items of kit. The centre storage hatch features a moulded in bucket for storing small items of tackle or bait, within easy reach of the seat. The rear storage area has bungees to hold down additional gear or tackle boxes. Other features include a paddle park so that you can stow the paddle whilst fishing, and scupper drainage holes to allow the deck to drain should water wash over the side. A full set of scupper bungs are supplied as standard with our deluxe package.

This is a small and lightweight (22kg) kayak that is easy to carry and put on top of a car and at only 9ft in length this kayak can fit in the back of many vans and campers too! An optional trolley can be purchased to make it even easier to get to and from the water with your fishing kayak.

The Cruise Angler is great value for money and includes all the features needed for a day fishing on the water. This kayak is manufactured in LLDPE plastic and whilst the best kayaks in the world are made of MDPE & HDPE grade plastics, LLDPE offers an excellent alternative at a lower overall cost. A good option for those who are only occasional anglers, or those wanting to try kayak fishing without spending big.
