An all-in-one Throw & Tow Line

The °hf Throw Tow is a clever combination of a throw and tow line, creating a handy all-in-one rescue package. Designed by Jeff Allen, a sea kayaking safety expert, the Throw Tow is a popular choice for sea kayakers who want to utilise the benefits of a throw bag, using it as a rescue line or sea drogue.

The 15m throwline uses 7.5mm core mantle rope, and is attached to the quick-release belt with the plastic Seadog karabiner on the bottom loop. The Seadog clip is buoyant and rust-free, perfect for use in saltwater rescues. On the end of the rope there is a high-quality metal karabiner that offers a strong point of contact to secure a tow between kayaks. The cone-shaped bag allows the rope to release cleanly and be repacked with ease, secured with a simple drawcord fastener.

The quick-release waist belt features a fixlock buckle that gives a clean release if you need to detach from the tow. A strong stainless steel O-ring is fitted to the secondary webbing band, allowing for secure, unrestricted movement during use. A small D-ring on the waist belt proves an attachment point to fully secure the throw bag in place when not in use.
