Palm Loweswater Spray Deck
Combi Spraydeck for touring and sea kayaks
The Palm Loweswater is a lightweight and breathable neoprene and fabric spray deck suitable for inland and coastal touring and recreational paddling use. Soft supple neoprene makes this easy to put onto your kayak cockpit. The breathable fabric waist comes with removable elastic braces and has a drawstring tensioner round the top rim. Fabric waists are flexible without being restrictive and are favoured by many sea kayakers. Spray decks with neoprene body tubes can be a bit clingy and too warm in summer months especially if you are out for a fair few hours.
The Loweswater is excellent quality and a great choice for your touring or sea kayak.

Notes on Spray Deck Fitment
You may want to choose a deck size larger than suggested here, especially if your kayak sits at the top end of the recommended size. Different kayak brands have different styles of cockpit. Wide short cockpits may fit the same size of spraydeck as a long narrow cockpit. Use the largest dimension to determine which spraydeck to purchase.
A simple shock cord neoprene deck (like the Palm Sport and Palm Loweswater) will stretch more easily and be easier to put on than a reinforced deck (like the Palm Roanoke, Enduro & Impact) that have panels of KNytex, Gripsil or other protective materials. You may wish to go up a size in a reinforced deck to make this easier to put on, or stick with the recommended size for a tight and snug fit (best for keeping the water out!).
Neoprene spray decks are often easier to put on when it's wet. If you are finding your new deck is a tight fit, try wetting the neoprene to allow more stretch. If your neoprene spraydeck is hard to put on when you first buy it, put it over the cockpit of your kayak and leave it for a few days to help with the stretch. Over time, a neoprene spraydeck will stretch with use, becoming easier to put on your cockpit.
