North Shore Atlantic RM
The combination of its tough three-layer RM Shell and several unique design features makes the North Shore Atlantic RM one of the best value plastic sea-touring kayaks currently available. This boat will take you to places you dream of whether on sea, lake or river.
The Atlantic is an excellent choice for anyone looking for their first sea boat and wanting to progress their sea kayaking skills. It also makes a great second boat to go alongside your composite if you like to go rock hopping. The Atlantic RM is available in two sizing options to accommodate larger and smaller paddlers. The Rotomoulded Atlantics have a composite tube that runs the 3/4 length on the hull. This tube is pre-bent, so when it is placed into the hull and sealed bulkheads and seat are fitted, it forces the hull out. This pressure keeps the hull a lot stiffer than standard single skin touring and sea kayaks. Another great design feature is the bulkheads. Normally bulkheads are made from Mini Cell foam, but North Shore use rotomoulded bulkheads so they become buoyancy blocks. Then they are fixed in by bolts and siliconed in.
