Nova Craft Prospector 16 SP3
The Nova Craft Prospector 16 is based on the original Chestnut Prospector, a true workhorse of the Canadian North. Constructed from durable SP3 triple layer rotomoulded polyethylene, this canoe will stand up to the abuse of many years of paddling mking this a great option for recreational paddling and trade centres looking for boats that will handle years of service.
This canoe feels most at home loaded with gear paddling a remote wilderness lake or river and with a load capacity of 409kg it is well suited to multi-day expeditions. Whilst it's a great recreational boat it is versatile enough to be a good all round canoe for family day adventuring and cruising. The shallow hull gives a great stability to the boat and with experience your confidence levels will increase. There is plenty enough space for two people and camping kit. It has to be one of the best all round touring canoes on the market. High sides give you a dry ride through waves and rapids alike by cutting through and deflecting the water. With a symmetrical design front to back this boat is easy to paddle solo or with company, with loads more space for kit!
The Wood Web seats offer a comfortable place to sit or kneel against. Finished with a durable varnished Deluxe Yoke which is specially contoured to be very comfortable if you carry the canoe on your shoulders. An Ash Thwart and Ash Carrying Handles complete the outfitting to make for a quality and durable canadian canoe for both recreational and outdoor trade use.
