The Malibu 9.5 sit on top kayak allows you to get on the water with a kayak that has a great mix of stability, comfort and enough performance for general paddling adventures on sheltered waters. This makes the Malibu 9.5 a great choice for the first-time paddlers wanting a reliable and dependable kayak to head out on the water with and build their confidence. Paddle around your local lake, explore the harbour or estuary and river creeks, or weave your way along the coast or bay on a calm day. The hull is also designed to provide a good amount of stability when playing in the surf - perfect for a day at the beach to show off your wave skills! With Ocean Kayaks premium build quality, you can also be sure you have a great quality craft that will last you a long time.
Equipped with a built-in AirComfort adjustable seat, and moulded-in foot rests with thigh rests, you can get yourself into a comfortable paddling position for all-day long adventures on the water. A small QuickStash Hatch is located in front of the seat for storage of small items on the water. There are also 3 cup holders so you can stay well-hydrated as you paddle. Take a dry bag of kit along with you with a handy tankwell storage area and bungees to keep gear secured down to the deck. A smaller storage well is also found on the bow.
Weighing in at just 24.5kg, the Malibu 9.5 is easy enough to carry a short-distance to the water, and lift up onto a car roof rack. This is also made easier with the built-in solid side carry handles, well placed at the centre balance point. Toggle handles are also found at the bow and stern for carrying.
