Composite Sea Kayak for Ocean Play
The Aries is a sea kayak for those who want to paddle and play on the coast. Based on the renowned Delphin hull design, featuring plenty of volume in the bow with pronouced bow rocker. Combined with a low-profile stern and planing hull, the Aries bow rides high on a wave and surfs like a dream. The fish-form design seats you further back in the hull for better performance when paddling through choppy messy waters and helps prevent purling when on a wave face. A superb choice for those wanting to to paddle in dynamic coastal waters but also play amongst the swells in rock gardens, ride the waves in a tide race and surf a wave into the beach.
Whilst more suited to the sea kayaker day paddling in lively waters, the Aries also makes a great choice for shorter expeditions with enough space for a well-packed camping set-up for a few days away. 4 hatches offer enough storage space for a weekend away and feature durable rubber KajakSport hatch covers. The bow, stern and day hatches features foam bulkheads for sealed storage areas and inherent buoyancy within the hull. The deck-pod hatch in front of the cockpit is super handy for keeping small essentials such as a camera or snacks close-by for quick access.
Outfitted with all the features you can expect from a top-spec modern sea kayak. Featuring a classic drop-down skeg for fine tracking control. The bow deck features secure storage for a spare split paddle up on the bow, with a recess to accomodate a Silva 70p compass. The Aries is equipped with full deck lines and bungees.
The Aries is available in several advanced composite constructions including Performance Kevlar/Diolen to Expedition Carbon/Kevlar with full customisation options.
