For those who want to go far and get their fast! The 17ft 8in Valkyrie is a fast sea kayak designed for speed and is a great choice for those looking to put in the miles quickly on big open water crossings and challenging circumnavigations, or just for those who want to blast around out on the coast and run along with ocean swells!

The long sleek fore-hull of the Valkyrie has steep vertical sides with a fine wave-piercing bow to maximise efficiency through the water, with minimal resistance as it propels its way forwards with each paddle stroke. Combined with a slender low-profile stern deck for clean laminar water flow off the stern for minimal drag, you have a kayak hull that screams speed and energy-saving efficiency! The fore-deck features paddle cutaways allowing you to put in powerful high-angle paddle strokes for the best acceleration and maintained high speeds. The mid-hull has a more square cross-profile, offering good initial stability, which is only improved as you pick up the speed. Constructed using Corelite X, an advanced triple-layer polyethylene for enhanced performance, durability and hull stiffness - the Valkyrie is about as fast as you'll get in a plastic sea kayak!

Featuring a footrest-controlled rudder system for fine directional control as you power along. Whilst primarily designed for those looking to paddle far and fast, the Valkyrie has enough features to make this a handy fast sea kayak for the occasional expedition too, with 3 hatches offering storage space for a lightweight overnight kit. The hatches feature durable rubber KajakSport hatch covers. The hatches features foam bulkheads sealing off the storage areas and providing inherent buoyancy within the hull. You'll find secure storage for a spare split paddle up on the bow, with a recess to accommodate a Silva 70p compass. The bow and stern decks feature deck lines and bungees and the Valkyrie also has fitting points for the mast foot of the P&H Sail Systems (available separately).

A top choice for open water distance paddling and long circumnavigations, and a great option for those not wanting to go to a composite fast sea kayak (FSK) but still relish speed!
