Thule Fitting Kits
Vehicle-specific fittings for Thule roof rack systems
Roof rack system can fit to a vehicle in a number of ways. In many cases, a specific fitting kit is required for your vehicle to ensure correct roof rack fitment. Vehicles can be generally categorised into 4 main types when it comes to fitting a roof rack:
- Raised Roof Rails - rails running either side of the roof, raised off the roofline, with a gap between the bar and the vehicle. No fitting kit required - use raised rail foot pack 7104 or 7108.
- Flush Roof Rails - rails running either side of the roof, raised off the roofline, with no gap between the bar and the vehicles. 6000-series fitting kit required.
- Fix Points - factory-installed mounting locations on the roofline, often threaded holes or bolt-on points. Sometimes covered by roofline stripping or blank plastic inserts. 7000-series fitting kit required.
- Normal Roof - No rails or fix points. A plain roof which requires a roof rack system that clamps between the door seals. 5000-series fitting kit required.
We sell the latest Thule EVO Fitting Kits for Flush Rails, Fix Points and vehicles that require a door clamp system. Please note: EVO fitting kits will not fit previous generations of Thule foot packs.
