Riot Thunder 65 & 76
White Water Kayak & Playful River Runner
The Riot Thunder isn't just your average river running kayak. When designing the Thunder, Riot have produced a kayak that sits perfectly between both their Creeker model, the Riot Magnum and some of their Freestyle Playboats! On the face of things the Thunder looks to be a very capable river runner, but take a look at its hull design and you'll see some serious fun to be had.
The Thunder's Semi-Planing Hull gives it excellent characteristics as a river runner. It's relatively flat hull with just the right amount of rocker provides speed in those longer wave-train sections, whilst it's volume proportions and beveled edges make maneuvering in and out of eddies a breeze. The Thunder find's itself at home on Grade 3-4 White Water and acts as the ideal kayak for those looking to river run as well as play in the standing waves and other features on the way down!
Both the Thunder 65 and 76 feature Riot's Unity Seating System, Suregrip Thigh Braces, Floating Backrest and Adjustable Creeker Footbrace, so that you can remain comfortable for extended periods of time, whilst maintaining the most connectivity with the kayak. Overall, the Thunder makes an excellent river running package that both experienced paddlers and novice to intermediates can appreciate!
