Made for the dynamic saltwater environment, the Vibe Hydra 130 is a fully-equipped fishing kayak for the angler wanting to head out on the coast and fish inshore waters. Whether it's a day out on the open coast anchored up for cod and rays, an evening trolling session at the back of the breakers for Bass or a morning raid on a quiet estuary for Bream, the Hydra 130 is a top choice for UK sea fishing and comes stacked full of functional features that makes the Hydra 130 more comfortable to fish from and very easy to outfit with accessories. Whilst a great option for coastal kayak fishing, the Hydra 130 is also a great kayak for the recreational paddler just wanting a good efficient sit on top kayak for costal exploring and covering some distance in a kayak that paddles well.

Fast & Efficient Hull Design

At 13ft long with a 29in beam and a classic tri-form hull design, the Hydra 130 really hits the sweet spot in offering excellent speed through the water whilst still offering good primary and secondary stability for great performance in choppy coastal waters. The flared bow with aggressive rocker charges up over choppy waters and swells and helps you maintain speed as you paddle along. Combined with the low centre-of-gravity contoured seating position and comfortable clip-in backrest, you have a fishing kayak that is quick through the water and will take you the distance on your next saltwater fishing adventure! The Hydra 130 comes outfitted with the Vibe Gravity Rudder for enhanced performance in cross winds and dynamic tidal waters, with steering controlled by the sliding freeflow footrests. The Gravity Rudder is also 'Bixpy-Ready' making it super easy to motorise your Hydra with a lightweight electric Bixpy K-1 Motor Kit, for those who want to really take their kayak fishing game to the next level!

Gear Storage

There are 4 x flush mount rod holders are fitted as standard. Two of these are front-facing for holding your rods when fishing at anchor, when trolling lures or just a place to put your rods when tackling or baiting up. The two rear facing rod holders are great for storing your rods when paddling between marks. Rod tip keepers are found on the bow for keeping your rods secure when laid flat to the kayak - handy for surf launches and landings. Equipped with the Vibe Versa Console featuring a hinged lid that opens up to a sealed tackle storage area right in front of the seat - perfect for quick access to your fishing tackle. The lid of the console has two smaller flip-lid storage hatches, slide tracks, a cup holder and a magnetic tackle holder - great for holding lures, hooks and tools. The tracks on the console lid make a great place to add a fish finder mount. A large oval bow hatch features easy-open latches and makes a great place to store a fold-up trolley such as the Railblaza C-Tug. The bow also features a paddle park for quickly stowing your paddle when you get a strike whilst trolling, and you'll also find further paddle parks either side of the kayak for paddle storage whilst drift or anchor fishing.

The rear cargo area has been maximised in size and will accommodate most of the popular kayak crate systems including the YakAttack BlackPak Pro 13x13 and 13x16, Hobie H-Crate and H-Crate Jr, and the Railblaza Gear Hub. Bungee tie-downs help keep your gear in place, and the bow end of the rear cargo area has been designed to carry 2 x Plano 3700 Waterproof Tackle Boxes right behind the seat for easy access to your lures, jigs & tackle. A further screw hatch is located at the stern end of the cargo area for internal access making it easier to install accessories such as an anchor trolley system using nut & bolt fixings.

Easy To Accessorise

Easily outfit the Hydra into the fishing kayak of your dreams! With 6 x top-loading gear tracks integrated into the hull, adding T-Track accessories from Railblaza, Ram Mounts & YakAttack has never been easier. Two longer lengths run alongside the foot wells for adding additional rod holders, camera mounts and more. Two lengths run alongside the rear cargo area and are useful for adding forwards facing Camera Booms or crate tie-down points. Two shorter gear tracks at the stern make a great place to track mount a Safety Flag or Visibility Kit. Installing a fish finder is made easy thanks to the transducer port recessed into the hull, with protective cover. Inside you find 2 x moulded-in M5 threaded brass inserts which are in the right position to bolt on the Lowrance and Garmin transom transducer brackets (supplied with the fish finders). The transducer recess fits the Lowrance Bullet Skimmer, Lowrance 83/200 HDI, Lowrance 50/200 HDI, Garmin GT20, Garmin GT24 and similar sized transducers - some options require the cover to be left off for best fit. The gear tracks on the Versa Console allow you to install the fish finder screen centrally using a suitable track mounted fish finder mount. There is also 4 x M5 threaded brass inserts at the very front of the footwell for installing rectangular base mounts such as a Railblaza StarPort HD, for further accessory mounting options.

Comfort

The seating area has been contoured to provide a comfortable seating position with a lower centre of gravity, for maintaining better stability in choppy coastal waters. The clip-in Flex seat offers good back support, whilst the adjustable Freeflow footrests allow you to get into an efficient paddling position so that you can get the most out of each paddle stroke. Deck padding is fitted in the footwells for some added comfort underfoot. The whole deck is self-draining by means of 8 x scupper holes. Scupper bungs are supplied, although it is best to leave these out on coastal waters so the deck can drain should you take some water over the side. Fitted with Bow, Stern and Side Phantom Grip carry handles for a solid grab point when lifting the kayak. Other features include deck lines, rod leash clip points and a replaceable skid plate at the stern
