Featuring a sleek bow design progressing to a more stable main hull with slight-V and rounded chines to give a superb mix of speed, handling responsiveness and stability making the Scorpio a great choice for those longer paddling trips in dynamic sea conditions. The swede-form hull design see's the widest point on the hull just behind the seat, providing excellent directional stability as you put in those hard paddle strokes when needed. The bow rocker allows the Scorpio to handle messy open ocean waters and run swells and surf with surprising capability. The low stern deck profile and cockpit rim makes for easier lay-back when rolling and easier cockpit re-entry. This is a sea kayak that will be equally at home pottering along the coastline on a calmer day, as it will be out in big swells and open ocean conditions, eating up the miles on a true expedition.

Outfitted with all the features you can expect from a top-spec modern sea kayak and constructed using Corelite X, an advanced triple-layer polyethylene for enhanced performance, durability and hull stiffness. Featuring a classic drop-down skeg for fine tracking control, with the skeg controls located up on the deck and out of the way of high-angle paddle strokes. 4 hatches offer plenty of storage space for multi-day expedition kit and feature durable rubber KajakSport hatch covers. The bow, stern and day hatches features foam bulkheads for sealed storage areas and inherent buoyancy within the hull. The deck-pod hatch in front of the cockpit is super handy for keeping small essentials such as a camera or snacks close-by for quick access. You'll find secure storage for a spare split paddle up on the bow, with a recess to accomodate a Silva 70p compass. The bow and stern decks feature full deck lines and bungees. Fancy sailing? The Scorpio II has fitting points for the mast foot of the P&H Sail Systems (available seperately). Bow and stern handles neatly stow tight to the hull with bungee retainers.
