Navigation Aid for Sea Kayaking, Kayak Fishing and Touring
A compass is a recommended piece of safety equipment if you are planning to paddle out at sea. A compass will aid naviagtion back to the shore or your launch point should you visually become unable to navigate (e.g. in thick fog).
Silva 58 Kayak Compass
A small and lightweight compass for kayak navigation and safety. The bungee cord with hook ends attaches easily to the deck lines of a kayak so there is no need to drill into the hull. If a permanent mount is prefferred the base of the Silva 58 can also be screw mounted to the kayak hull. Easy to read, without letting go of the paddle.
Silva 70P Kayak Compass
A top quality compass, contained within a spherical housing with a self levelling scale for easy reading even in lively conditions. Many sea kayaks have a hemispherical moulded-in recess on the bow specifically for the installation of one of these compasses. Its rugged waterproof design will stand up to the harshest of conditions.
