VE Explorer Glass
An excellent paddle for sea kayakers and sit-on-top paddlers paddling on coastal waters. The slightly downturned blade design suits high angle paddling styles, with better catch and clean exit for extra performance when you reliable power from your paddle. The Explorer performs well in lively and ever-changing coastal waters and makes a brilliant choice for swell riding, surf paddling and rock hopping.
The Explorer Glass features stiff fibreglass blades for efficient paddle strokes and power output. The smooth dihedral blade face reduces blade flutter allows for smooth linking of paddle strokes. The Explorer Glass is available in 3 blade sizes: Small (615 cm²), Standard (650 cm²) & Large (685 cm²), each offering increasing level of power generated by the paddle. The standard size offers a great all-rounder and is the most popular option. The large will suit powerful well conditioned paddlers wanting maximum power output from their paddle. The small size suits smaller paddlers looking for a blade that is easier to work with. The 2-piece shaft features 10cm of length adjustment and infinite blade feathering adjustment, all set via a simple and reliable shaft clamp. The shaft is ovalised/indexed on both sides for better grip and connection to the shaft. There are two shaft options available: Glass and Carbon. Choose Glass for a little more forgiveness and flex within the shaft - good for reducing fatigue when distance paddling. Choose carbon for a stiff and a direct contact to the water feel whilst paddling for increased performance.
