A 16ft canoe is widely regarded as being the most versatile size for a tandem canoe, with a fair compromise between forwards speed, stability and manoeuverability. The Enigma Turing 16 is one such versatile design and offers a superb craft for tandem paddling. There is also ample room for a smaller child passenger, or pet, making this a popular canoe for families.
The Turing 16 hull design is based on the original 'Mobile Adventure Symphony'. The flatter underhull shape provides excellent primary stability and the minimal rocker along the hull provides great straight line tracking. This combination ensures that even the first-time paddler can step into a Turing 16 and feel confident paddling the craft. The Turing 16 hull performs best on flat water, be it lakes, canals, slow-moving rivers or even sheltered estuaries. Boasting a generous 470kg carry capacity you can really load up this canoe with the camping gear and head off for a multi-day trip. It is also ideal for a day exploring the water with the family and still have enough space to carry a BBQ and some fishing gear.
The Turing 16 hull is constructed from triple-layer polyethylene. This material is great for all-round canoeing use and will stand up to the usual abuse of launching, landing and the general knocks and bumps expected during your adventures on the water. Outfitted with two Wood-Web seats providing a comfortable platform for paddling.
