Viking Profish 35
The Profish 35 is a superb fishing kayak for calm coastal waters, estuaries and inland waterways. At 3.5m / 11ft 6in in length with a weight of 24kg, this fishing kayak is lightweight and easy to paddle, with excellent stability thanks to it's tri-form hull and the low centre of gravity that the seating position provides. The bow has a great shape to cut through the short choppy wind waves often found on the coast or lakes. Overall this gives the Profish 35 just the right mix of forwards speed, stability and ease of use to be a brilliant all-rounder - an excellent choice for those wanting their first fishing kayak, without spending big on some of the higher performance fishing kayaks.
Features include a good-sized central tackle storage area - perfect for storing your tackle boxes and small essentials so that they are close to hand. The console lid features a small built-in chopping board and the lid makes a useful place to mount a fish finder too. 4 rod holders are fitted as standard - two behind the seat (great for holding rods whilst paddling) and one either side of the footwell (great for use when fishing or tackling/baiting up). There are 2 x Railblaza StarPort HD mounts fitted at the front of the footwell that can take any Railblaza StarPort accessory such as additional rod holders - we recommend 2 x Railblaza Rod Tubes and these can be selected above the 'add to basket' button - but you could also fit a camera mount or fish finder mount here. A small screw hatch offers access to the hull for storing small items inside the kayak. A good sized rear storage well makes a great place to put a crate for your fishing gear.
Other features include bow, stern and side carry handles and bow bungees for tucking rod tips or your paddle blade under. A paddle holder is also fitted to the sid eof the kayak so you can keep your paddle secure whilst fishing. Please note: a seat and paddle are not included and are an additional purchase - we recommend the Feelfree Deluxe Seat and the Feelfree Day Tourer Fbreglass Paddle in 220cm for this kayak.
The Profish 35 is one of our favourite compact fishing kayaks and is a fantastic choice for a first fishing kayak or for those just wanting a nice lightweight kayak for fishing.
